Description

The IT Audit Officer, being accountable directly to the Internal Audit Unit Head of AllBank (A Thrift Bank), Inc. (ALB).

Responsibilities

1. To clearly determine the extent or level of IAU’s participation in the Project Management / System Development Process for high-risk project areas.

2. To provide the Board and Management with an independent assessment of the progress, quality and attainment of project objectives at defined milestone within the project.

3. Satisfy audit / assurance objectives in reviewing the process before it goes live, place future reliance on the processes based upon the assurance work performed while the application is under development.

4. To describe the monitoring, reporting and escalation processes when internal controls are found to be insufficient or when testing is found to be inadequate.

5. Assist Internal Audit Unit Head to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, controls and governance in Information Technology /Projects/Applications and Systems to help the Bank achieve its objectives.

6. Assist Internal Audit Unit Head in strategizing, directing and executing a systematic Audit Plan to add value and improve the Bank’s IT operations.

7. To be able to evaluate and provide improvements in the effectiveness of risk management, controls and governance of risks and risk locations under review within the given budget. This requires the IT Audit Officer to have adequate knowledge of the operations and processes under review and skills to be able to identify risk areas and provide appropriate recommendations.
